Conference Cake Recipe

In case you want to try "Conference Cake" this General Conference, here is the recipe...

I'll be baking a couple batches! :)

Conference Cake

For 1 9x13 pan

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x13 pan. Mix together:

1 egg
1 cup milk
¼ cup oil
2 cups flour
¼ cup sugar
1 TBS Baking Powder
1 TSP salt

Beat eggs, stir in milk and oil. Mix in remaining ingredients just until flour is moistened. Batter should be lumpy.

Put flour on your hands and smush down the batter as you put it in the pan.

Put onto pan and then put on the topping. Bake for about 20-25 minutes until the topping is crisp.

Topping

1.5 cups brown sugar (packed)
1 cup flour
1 cup oats
1.5 tsp cinnamon
2/3 cup butter or margine, soften.

Mix first four ingredients, then cut in butter until well mixed.

Note to self: in case you lose your paper version, FYI, this version cut your mom's dough recipe in half and kept the topping the same.
